CHORISTRY IN CONCERT

Flight - A Century of Soaring Vocal Music

18/11/2017

ST JOHN'S SOUTHGATE

“A man with wings large enough and duly connected, might learn to overcome the resistance of the air” – Leonardo da Vinci

Join Choristry for our final concert of 2017, a voyage of musical discovery celebrating our fascination with the skies and beyond; from the humblest of insects to the wonder of taking to the air and traveling towards the stars.

Featuring Stanford’s gorgeous The Bluebird, Eric Whitacre’s extraordinary Leonardo Dreams of his Flying Machine and the heartfelt setting of John Gillespie Magee’s High Flight by Christopher Marshall, as well as music from Norway and Australia.

Let these uplifting and ethereal works transport you skyward.
