7:30PM SATURDAY 17 NOVEMBER @ ST JOHNS SOUTHGATE
Founded by Trevor Jones in 2008, Choristry was created to perform a diverse range of choral music to the highest standard. Ten years on, the choir is celebrating a decade of fun that has seen them present the best of choral music from the Renaissance to today. This 10th anniversary concert showcases Choristry’s diversity and versatility in performance, with a programme including Eric Whitacre’s extraordinary Leonardo Dreams of his Flying Machine, Ēriks Ešenvalds' gorgeous Northern Lights, and Morten Lauridsen’s O Nata Lux, alongside works by past Choristry musical directors Trevor Jones and Dan Walker and current guest director Calvin Bowman. Guest director for August’s highly successful ‘ANÚNA’ concerts, Christine M Storey returns to conduct Michael McGlynn’s rousing ‘Dúlamán’, and Choristry alumni rejoin the choir for a grand finale. Join us in the gorgeous acoustics of St Johns Southgate for an exciting evening of choral highlights celebrating ten years of music-making in Melbourne.
